I REALLY wish I didn’t skip through this one when I recorded it, it would have been a good one. Oh well. I don’t think I ever usually recorded Sounds Of Sacramento, I most likely only did here because Ambiance’s host guest-hosted it here. Haha.
A little bit of Ambiance, a little bit of Shawn & Jeff, and a call to a comedy club because I had no friends and liked to listen to recorded messages. ;D
The first side is the week of December 18 1994… The second side is, I believe, October 30 1994. That side REALLY slow and warbly in some places, haha. I used to use and reuse tapes so many times, ugh *shame*

Ugggghhhh, another tape where I put the two sides together wrong.
Pretty sure this was recorded either 8/25, 9/1, 9/8, 9/15, or 9/22 1995. Yeah, I know that really narrows it down. Heh.
This was recorded on a knock-off Martika tape I got at the Oakland flea market back in like ’89, hahaha.

November 20 1994 (sleuthing for dates is fun!) This is an odd tape, it’s all just snippets of songs cutting in and out – songs I would think I’d have wanted to record. The majority of the tape is actually just the talking between the songs. I’m not sure why I did that.
The first ten songs were put together by yours truly; I remember making a quick compilation to listen to at school on my walkman. The rest is all Movement, from either August 11 or 19, 1996 🙂

This one starts out with a few minutes of Transmitter Adjustments on Live 105, then goes into some Movement (with a couple F-bombs scattered in there! Hahaha)… Then back to more Transmitter Adjustments (I proooobably accidentally flipped the sides on this one… my bad. I’m sure it’s going to happen a lot though. Heh)
A very late night recording of Ambiance and a few minutes after it ended at 2am. When I was younger I thought it sounded like they were having so much fun…….. hearing it now I have to wonder if they were just getting really really high. Hahaha <3
Continue readingI used to make my own compilations, and it looks like a big chunk of side A on this tape was a compilation of all the live Erasure I’d collected to this point, haha. Then it goes into some Alphabet Club for a while, then some pretty hard Movement stuff (Ministry to Nitzer Ebb to KMFDM = perfect block, haha) then some more Alphabet Club.
The majority of this tape was probably recorded in ’95, but I had caught wind of a new OMD song being played on Live 105 in the summer of ’96. To get Live 105 at my house, I had to rig a wire from my boom box’s antennae out my window and up to my roof. Worth it! I was able to catch Walking On The Milky Way twice this way. I wouldn’t be able to get my hands on the Universal album until about 2000.
